I had the fantastic opportunity to direct and edit a TV spot for Northwell Health called ‘Here in Manhattan.’ It’s a love letter to Manhattan and the fascinating people who call it home. Manhattan is a living, breathing, at times chaotic haven that holds a little bit of everything, so we wanted to capture and embody that energy and emotion. I can't say enough positive things about the team we had on this project, from pre-production to post-production—it was a true collaboration. Thank you to Northwell and Strawberry Frog for being with us every step of the way, but more importantly, for giving us the space to create and to be artists.
I'm very happy with our finished film; I think it accomplished exactly what we wanted it to. It's hard not to be romantic about Manhattan, so I'm thrilled we captured some of that feeling. A big shout-out to Mandy Harris, Hayley Savage, and Cheng Liu, my three producers who are colleagues but also friends. And thank you to everyone at Northwell—you are so in tune with the creative process and you care, which is so refreshing! Working on this project never felt like work, which is beautiful and meaningful in its own right. So, being nominated for a New York Emmy is simply amazing! I think it's a testament to this team and all the hard work put in to bring this to life.
