We teamed up with Director Jonny Mass of Radke Films and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners on BMW’s latest spot with an April Fools twist. The short film stars actor Milo Ventimiglia behind the wheel of the 'self-driving' BMW M4. The M4 twists and turns around the racetrack until it is ultimately revealed that Ventimiglia has been in control of the vehicle the entire drive.
The Mill’s VFX team helped set the stage to showcase the all-new BMW M4 with seamless compositing, matte painting, clean-up and an expert grade by Mill Colourist Paul Yacono. Paul comments, “Per Director Jonny Mass and DP Pete Konczal’s request, we wanted the colour to fall in line with that of a badass, blockbuster, action-packed film.”
VFX Supervisor Alex Candlish adds, “It’s always fun collaborating with the Goodby team and it was great working alongside Jonny to help realize his vision. Since our team at The Mill is so well versed in the ‘work from home’ pipeline, the job was handled effortlessly by our compositors and CG artists.”
